So, I am planning on doing an OEM rebuild on my spare s13 KA to be a reliable daily to drive while I work on another project car. I have easily found all the replacement parts and gaskets etc. But I cant seem to find what to do about the oil pump. I have only found oem s14 pumps for sale, should I rebuild it? If so, what would I need?

I had the same problem with finding a pump for my sr that's not $200 +. I talked to my guys at my machine shop and I was able to buy the oil pump gears from them for $44. ....4th year running strong.

I did some research and found out the only parts that get worn out are the inner and outer gears and the regulator valve assembly, I found out I can buy both of those parts from nissan for about $40 bucks! Let me know if anyone wants those part numbers.

the only way to truly replace the pump is to replace the lower front cover, oil pump gears, and regulator. the front cover can be expensive but as long as it shows no signs of damage, usually grooving like a brake rotor, then it is fine to reuse.
