Well if you smell fuel it's likely getting there. If you want to check, pull out a spark plug, and look down into the cylinder w/a flashlight. You'll see it pooled on top the piston. BTW you should clear out that fuel after changing or checking something, to make sure that the extra fuel isn't keeping it from starting... Just pull the fuel pump fuse and crank a few times.
Reset the ECU and start over; check the codes. If anything blaring is wrong that'll point you in the right direction. Does it try to start? Ie do you get any popping from the exhaust?
Well if you're getting fuel+spark, then the only thing left is the timing: if it's off enough it won't start, so check that.
