Wondering about Just having a filter connecting to the intake manifold with no piping. Has anyone experienced this setup before?

Where are you going to put the hose for the iacv? That air has to be metered. Where are you going to put the mafs? Also the engine would be sucking hot under hood air which would equal to less than stock horse power. All around a, not very well thought out, plan.

also, not to mention the maf i believe has to be 6 or more inches away from the throttle body to read properly; and cooler air the better dude.

Did you get the idea from a Honda? Remember, hondas use a "map" sensor built on the throttle body, Nissan uses a "maf" sensor that is attached to the intake tubing and as was said a post up, has to be 6" from the throttle body to read properly
