KA24DE N/A Dyno

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Dyno'd a friends S13 KA before we throw on a turbo. Stock low mileage motor, 3" exhaust.

It was 89ºF with 29%humidity on a Dynojet.



Pretty damn good I'd say. AND NO LOSS OF TORQUE!!! Haha, still fighting that backpressure myth.

Haha, the motor didnt have a knock sensor hooked up so it was running the knock map for timing. So before 5250 it was pulling timing to "save" the motor. At 5250 it switches back to stock timing map and gets the instant power boost back to stock. Soooo he would have made more power down low if it had a sensor, we'll be installing that before the turbo.

And Vtec... I wish. Then we could push 250whp like the honda guys... but we'd have torque.

hey imo thats pretty good. its only 25whp off the stock sr dyno of 170 whp.
