I'm gonna do an OEM refresh with new rings and bearings on an extra block I have sitting around as practice before my serious motor build. Are the rod and/or main bolts torque to yield like the head bolts? Should these be replaced when I tear the block down? Thanks.

A lot of info on rebuilding the KA here:http://www.importfanatix.com/F...t=442

As for buying new head bolts, I would do it.

Gah I know head bolts cannot be reused but I was wondering about rod/main bolts. Are they reusable or are they torque to yield?

Good link. I have that bookmarked somewhere. I've assembled long blocks before (done HG/timing chain) but its time to do some bottom end work.
