Well i just pruchased this truck for $500 and it had a lot of little problems and most have been fixed..The motor has low compression on # 3 cylinder, the valve train and timming chain are very noisy and the auto transmission needs some work.I really do not wana waste time rebuilding this motor and transmission. I wana throw in a dohc ka w/transmission but im not sure how much work is involved...Ive got a 98 240 with ka-t and i love the motor which is why i wana put in a dohc ka in this truck...Is there lots of work involved...?? Do u guys mind telling me what im up against with this swap..?? I tried a search with so many different working combo's and nothing came up...

Thanx

Just buy a frontier engine and a 240sx intake and it will be a damn near drop in deal. If you run the 240sx engine the front sump interferes with the steering arms. To run the transmission that requires DL mods and a set of bucket seats to clear the shifter. If you wanna make pan modifications then go the 240sx route. peace.

Yeha, what he said. get the truck KA24DE and swap that over to a 240SX intake manifold. JWT can reflash the ECU for what you are doing. I swaped a altima KA24DE into my KA24E powered Stanza back in the day. it was a straight bolt in swap, and I had to have JWT reclock the CAS when they did the ECU. I resued my KA24E HArness, trans, & CAS.
