Who makes a metal head gasket for a KA24DE, and preferably one that's not too expensive?

Cometic. They are all rather pricey. I am of the opinion that the need for this item is a bandaid fix for a more significant problem.

I have had a cometic hg sitting in my room the past year. I have yet to blow the stock one with 140K on it. By the way with a metal headgasket if you detonate to bad you will blow a piston/ring landing or a combo of both. Could be worse too.

Unless you're making close to 500hp, you don't need it and like 574-240sx said, it can cause problems. I would rather blow my headgasket than my piston rings or worse.

Good point. Well, I was going to replace it since I'm doing the timing chain this weekend, but if it's not neccessary, I won't do it. Thanks yall
