Hey guys.

I read somewhere recently that with the stock KA24DE engine, the MAFs are junk. What I mean is that the guy who wrote what I read made a ram air system for his 240sx. He was driving down the highway, clutched in, and the car just died. He says because the Mass Air Flow read too much air or something. I can't remember exactly why this happened, but I know it had something to do with the stock MAF.

The SR20s dont have any problems with their MAFs, do they?

well if you try to ram in extra air to a mafs thats setup to read a certain amount of air, you'll have problems....niether one is 'crap'.....

sometimes people have probs with recieving mafs that are bad, i know mine was bad when i got my motor, but i just sent it back to Jeff, and they replaced it no problem.

Keep in mind that the MAFS on the KA can handle a 7psi turbo kit just fine... thats 1.5 times the CFM of a 100% equalibrium N/a motor.
