I wouldn't put it in until you are ready for the whole turbo build. Your engine will run like crap if you put them in before.

why would you put those pistons in now but wait for the turbo? build it all at the same time.

Dude,

Go ahead and do it. All thats going to happen is your car wont put out as much power down low.

But at least this way you will get a proper break in before the turbo and all. So when you slap on your turbo your good to go ...

nope smog is a no go. the slightest change will mess you up. like with honda USDM motor is 10:4 while JDM is 10:6, and they wont pass the snifer test. so imagine what 8:8 will do....?

Im running the arias 8.8 .20 over bore size on n/a right now and my car runs like crap pretty much....but its probably due to the fact that I have a vacuum leak or my maf is bad, not really sure though lol. It feels like my car is making about 14whp too....

You guys do know sniffer test doesn't really have anything to do with compression right? and JDM doesn't have all the emissions crap installed on their engines like we do here in the US.

Also get your self like an SAFC and a Wideband and due some fine tuning. But I drove on low compression pistons NA for about a year and never had a hick up and passed emissions with flying colors.

Of course my car felt slower down low, but I dealt with it.

realize that your emissions standards might be different than his. ours are super cali-strict here in tarrant county, TX for some reason
