I did use the search button for this problem but ill just explain it in detail...my check oil light would come on when i would take a turn or go up a hill so i figured it was low and i would change it monday...sunday night i went sliding in a parking lot (i have an automatic! yes i know its stupid sliding with one) anyways i had it in first and slide around a couple islands at like 5000rpm and it started a slight tapping i opened the hood and listened a bit then it went away so i tried one turn again that i was addicted to and it got real bad it sounded like someone shivering with their teeth chattering i havn't done much looking at the motor seeing as i got home around 1230ish...just wondering what i should be looking for in this problem and how big it really is! Thanks

if the oil light comes on you should check the oil level immediately. what would make you think it was a good idea to keep sliding the car around. what most likely happened was that your oil level was really low and every time you slid around the oil, whatever was left of it, would move to one side causing the engine to starve for oil. it only takes a few seconds of no oil to ruin the bearings.

well u are right! i did an oil change this morning and then went to put some v-power gas in it..and it did the same so i saw in a post similiar to this were the guy pulled the oil pan to check for shavings so i did the same and there were some along with a load pan of new oil meaning it all just ran down to the pan and didn't circulate well looks like i wont have a car for this week seeing as gas prices cause me to be broke(Buck Fush)
