My engine started making this noise about a day ago. I did some research and came up with a few possible answers to the problem. Rod knock, time chain guard crap, or a spun ....... I forgot the name. Anyways, I have no clue which of those it would be, could anyone help me out by listening to it and giving me a suggestion?Any help would be greatly appreciated. The car still runs strong. in low speeds under 3k it seems to be a little more underpowered than usual, it might just be in my head though.

Sorry for the bad quality, it was a phone video.

Definately sounds like a spun bearing to me. It's accompanied by squeaking. If it was just a knock, I would say a thrown rod.

Also, what do you guys suggest I should do? I would love to find another KA, but they are pretty hard to find..... SR would be great, but CA sucks with emissions. how would i go about fixing my KA? pricey?

fixing your ka would cost more than replacing it. keep looking for another one.

if that sound appears strongest when de-accelerating, it will be bearing problem.search for sr or ca.

I guess some of it melted off

and now I find out that I am missing a small piece still and I have to work my way down into the engine by taking off all the front covers..... so, im still working on that. At least I found out what it was.
