Alright guys, i'm getting frusterated with my 240....

The car is running extremely rich (i can see the white smoke). It will not idle for ****, if it does idle...but at WOT the car drives just like it should...

Vacuum is about -10 at idle...i don't see any vacuum leaks..i've sprayed carb cleaner around the engine to check for leaks..

The TPS (throttle position sensor) is set for WOT...per chiltons manual, you can only set it to either idle or WOT and for ka24de it's supposed to be WOT.

The timing is right on the last notch of the crank pulley. (stock timing w/ distrubotor rotor at TDC of cylinder 1)

I have 2 MAF's they both seem to work, if i unplug them i can only rev til 3kish and it completely cuts out, with them in the car runs to redline just like it should.

Just had the engine harness replaced by Trevor cause the harness that came on the car was cut in some ****ed up places...

EGR seems to work fine, if you press on the bottom it releases pressure like it should...

I cleaned the IACV and also tested the spring, it's perfect...but I do not remeber testing the sensors on it.

I just changed spark plugs, because the engine ate the bosch plat's I had in it.

I compression check'd it...160 accross the board...90 in number 4....I think that was a mishap...but if its not its probably a blown head gasket or something...but that would not cause it to run rich...when i pull the spark plugs i can see oil on the threads, but not on the solonoid and the cylinders look fine...

I'm really ****ing confused....

Help...Please..lol

White smoke comes from a coolant leak, not a rich mixture...

I'd check the MAFS wiring. Check your vac lines on the actual lines (cheap to replace anyway) and then check the gaskets. Check the one way valve also that goes to your brake booster.

Yup, white means water is getting into the cylinders, do this, with engine cold, pop the radiator cap off, start the car and let it idle, look into the radiator, if there are bubbles, you have a blown headgasket, no bubbles then your OK
