the question is how well did this guy take care of it? my ka has 70'000 and runs as good as the day i bought the car but, if its your new project you might be better off with a rebuilt so you have a better starting point but thats not a bad deal. make an educated dessision,

Where have you seen remanufactured KA's for around $1,000. I have only seen them for about $2,200.

there are remanufactured ka's (sohc) being sold by http://www.hiperformer.comcomes with a 3yr/100k mile warranty.

Looking to build a project car....with nice speed not trying to be the fastest. want at least 200hp. (project car meaning the total car, gonna supp everything up and make it feel comfortable on the inside & look good. look really smooth on the outside and perform like a brand new car. .....within a certain budget.

A guy online is selling a DOHC motor w transmission and all the parts i'd need for the '90 240sx. it has 83k miles. selling for 400. he doesn't need it because he just got the sr20det motor installed. that's the story. so i'm trying to figure out if its worth buying that motor...as far as reliability. i don't know whether or not that moto has been dogged or taken care of. he says it has but who knows? besides, he's not the original owner. he's the 2nd. and since he's into racing that would lead me to believe that he may dog it outm but not necessarily true. anywayz, that's the story. any suggestions?

I paid 400 for mine, its a 1992 KA24DE with 90k on it. I am rebuilding it. I think its an ok price if it comes with everything, which mine did.

Well I paid 400 for my DE with 60k on it. If it comes with a transmission and looks to be in decent shape I say go for it.
