It's probably been brought up before, but I'm just too damn lazy to go try and find it...wuold it be possible to swap in a KA24DE DOHC into a '89 chassis that has the SOHC version of the KA? It'd be a tight squeeze, but I'd just like some input on the idea. Thanks

No it would be the same as putting a DE where a DE once was, just need a newer ECU, and please use search button.

yes its possible. I just finished doing one last week, 93 motor into 89 chassis. It bolts in perfect. You will need:

DOHC ecuDOHC PS pump and lines or reroute the sohc linesDOHC wireharnessDOHC coilpack and ign chip

The connector under the dash on the ecu side will have to be rewired since the dohc connector wont match the dash harness connector.

Mattback has more detailed specs and pictures, if you search for them.
