I am about to drop 5 grand on some forged engine internals from Brian Crower and was just curious as to what kind of horsepower numbers to expect when its finished. here is a list of whats goin in:

2.6L stroker kit including forged pistons (either 9 or 9.5 compression havent decided yet) and fully counterweighted Billet Steel Crank
Cometics Head gasket
ARP main studs
272 degree, 226 dur @ .050, .401" lift Cams (will these be to aggressive for a daily driven turbo ka24de?)
36.6 mm intake valve (undercut)
31.3 mm exhaust valve (Undercut)
high performance spring and retainer kit
port and polish the head

I believe that is all the relevant information, most of these specs were taken directly from the brian crower website.
thanks for any estimates you can give

On that setup you could run anywhere from 350-600 HP, just depends on Turbo, injectors, engine management etc. 272 cams wont kick in till like 5k so if your building a 9000 rpm's motor than those cams are fine.

But what kind of numbers are we talking before a turbo? Just the internals rebuild.

If your building an na motor and go 10:1 pistons and 260 cams and a good tune on 370cc injectors I'd say 250hp Max.

250hp?? I thought it was hard as hell to get a ka, N/A, to 200hp?? I mean doesn't require a lot more work then just high comp pistons, cams and a tune?

250 Max was a guess with stroker, high comp pistons, higher rev, cams etc. I think I'd spend 5k on a killer Turbo setup and pull 500 HP on stock motor first but that's just me. I haven't seen a dyno for a stroked ka na.

I would also prefer to buy the turbo kit first, but stock crank isn't fully counterweighted. Will this be a problem? What would all be needed to run the turbo system? Like, bigger injectors, ECU, etc.

You can get the stock crank fully counterweighted at a machine shop. The stock. Crank doesn't affect anything except the ability to rev higher. For Turbo setup you need injectors, maf and an e-prom tuned ecu or piggyback or stand alone ( some people use the safc but I do. Not recommend). Other than that, Turbo, exhaust Mani, dump pipe, intercooler, piping kit, wastegate, bov, and oil/coolant lines.

Thank u. U have been very helpful. Eventually I want toge system to run 600 horsepower. What fuel delivery system would be needed to obtain that? Also, what is a dump pipe?

Rather twin walboro pumps or a race fuel pump. 1000 CC injectors. And 25-30 psi boost. A dump pipe is the exhaust pipe that bolts to the Turbo and goes down and bolts to the down pipe.

What kind of turbo would that require? I was looking at turbos and I don know what the .82 ar measurement means. When they are rated say, 400-600+ hp, does that mean the minimum is 400 or could it go lower for daily driving?

yeah it can go lower but wont be in its efficiency range. The lower the number of ar the quicker the spool. The higher the number the more the Turbo can flow, but spools later and creates more power up top. If you are starting from scratch I would recommend the new Borg Warner Turbo. The bov, and wastegate are built into the Turbo to save money and also have a new billet wheel. There pretty sick...go to full race. Com.
