KA24DE installed in a Hard Body PU 4x4

Is it possible or has anyone installed a KA24DE engine in a HB PU. Also if so did the block bolt up to the transmission what is actually needed. I am asking because it appears it is more 24de engines availible now than 24e's and the mechanics shop truely messed my truck up when they put the engine in.

Help asap
