We finally got to the KA24DE install on the 1989 240sx we have here. Just a few questions. My dad is wantin to know how you orchestrated the power steering pump. He also wants to know how you put the ac pump too, and the heater lines. He asked me to post on the forums, cuz I have no idea what he's talkin about. I dont know that much about cars. If you know of any changes to those parts have to be made, please let me know. Thank you

Do you need to run the KA24DE ECU as well? I would think yes, my red 240's engine might be totally fooked, and a really cheap solution such as a junkyard KA24DE would be nice. With all the KA24DE powersteering parts, harness, and ECU it would be an easy swap right? The tach doesnt work SOHC to DOHC does it?

yeah, you need the dohc ecu also. no, the tach won't work, so get a gauge cluster while your at it.

my red one doesnt have AC, so that doesnt need to exist on the ka24de. hoses should be easy.

I've never done a motorswap, but if i think about it, its just unbolting the engine, removing the wire harness and ECU, disconnecting any hoses, get the thing out, put another one in, bolt it, hose it, wire it. Thats about it isnt it?

Check the FAQ for the KA motor on Unstable Hybrids.

http://www.unstable-hybrids.com/

From the FAQ:

Q: In those pictures what is it that's modified with the power steering lines? A: The power steering pump and reservoir are on the opposite side of the engine and engine bay. The SOHC PS line runs under the motor on the front of the crossmember. We've shortened and flared the line to work from the driver's side.

Also, check out Mattback's response near the middle of this thread:

http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....ap+ac

He describes what he did with his AC lines.

Hope that stuff helps.
