jus wondering if there is any difference between the 240sx ka24de and the pickup truck ka24de. i know it is a truck engine but is there any difference like timing or parts. i want to swap one into my 240sx. i got a friend that crashed his company work truck (year 98) and is just going to put it in the junkyard. It has 70,000miles and is well maintained. there is no damage to the engine itself, it still runs. the only difference i see is the intake.

yes to both. when you swap cams use two s13 exhaust cams.

woah! hey dude you might wanna look at seeing if you can swap over the whole front cover assembly because one uses an externl oil pump(truck) and the other uses an internal(240). thats what determines the rear sump and front sump design. plus the trucks block is a hybrid between the SOHC and DOHC, unlike the 240 SOHC block the trucks has oil squirters and a main bearing girdle like the DOHC blocks. thus making it sort of a hybrid engine. It wont be just a drop in deal! especially since the trucks is designed to be a rear sump, unlike your 240's front sump.
