Hey,I need some help. My S13 has all of the sudden started to idle really rough. It idles fine when you start it but after you drive it, it begins to idle really bad at a stop or at low speeds, like when you pull up to a Stop sign. The wierd thing is that it only does it sometimes. anyone ever had this problem and how did you fix it?

Note:New oil and filterNew cap and rotorNew Spark Plug wiresNew Spark PlugsNew fuel filterand Lucas fuel injector cleaner in the last 4 tanks.

Help please, thx

Idle air control valve, its on the back of the intake manifold bottom plenum. Alot of people have idle problems and this is a good place to start, just remove it and clean it with an old tooth brush and carb cleaner. Coolant temp. sensor, located on the intake manifold where the upper radiator hose attaches. You'll see two sensors there, one is for the gauge(smaller one) the other will most likely have a red plug and 2 wires. This sensor runs about $23 from a dealer and the idle air control valve is free so if I were in your shoes I'd start there. So with all that being said clean your IACV first, and it that doesn't fix it and you can't get your hands on a scan tool that datastream's replace the CTS.

thanks for your help!!!

kinda funny, it fixed itself. I think that something was stuck in one of the injecters and it got blown through.

It's runnin great now, but thanks for ur knowledge anyways.

What does this thing look like again? I'm gonna try to take it off and clean it.
