ka24de idle and fuel issue.. PLEASE HELP!!

i rebuilt the engine in my 91 240 using a sohc lower end and the dohc head. i pulled the emissions off and relocated the battery.

now that everything is together i cant get the thing to run right!

-its running very rich, blowing black smoke-wont hold an idle unless eased into it-my air/fuel gauge is telling me its running lean-it backfires like crazy-sputters when reving-wants to chock off when giving it hard throttle

i cant figure it out to save my life and im hoping someone can point me in the right direction

ok, very good question so you use a block and cranckshaft of a ka24ewith a head of a ka24de, right...?

ok, i dont know if the cranksahft is diferent for the ka24e and the ka24demy best advice is you check the timing again... (in timming chains of course)check for good sincronization.. and try again... i know is hard but that happen when you mix parts of diferent engines.. good luck
