Hi, I have 96 s14 ka24de,I am looking for a brand new Idle air control valve.
but no one has it in the aftermarket parts shop and the oem ones cost $1000!!
What do you guys do in this situation?
Are there any other substitutes?

I used one from a truck KA24 for a long time. The inlet or outlet angle wasn't quite right so my hose had a bit of a kink in it, but for the most part it worked fine.
Most of the time you can just clean the one you've got unless the coil goes bad or something. You can also adjust the idle control screw in or out to put the valve in a different dutycycle zone to limp it along for a little while.

1999-2004 nissan xterm Pathfinder frontier or
1993-1997 nissan quest?

The one I used was from a frontier.
At the time I was at the auto parts store and of course they didn't have one for a 240, so I just asked if they had one for the frontier, we compared the pictures, I bought it at risk, and it worked.
Looking at them now on Rock Auto, they look wildly different... however the Altima one looks like it might work. I'm showing STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS AC575 as a part number.
