i used a 2x4 and a hammer when i rebuilt my KA. i took the crank off sprayed some pb blaster on the top side of each piston let it sit for like a half hr and they came out fairly easy. good luck

took the crank off? If you got the oil pain off, spray it down with brake clean and get the build up off, then lube the cyl walls (oil in a spray bottle). Then pull the spark plugs and spray the ringlands with PB blaster and follow it with a 1/2 cap of motor oil, wait and turn the crank with the plugs out.

Pull the plugs out and see if it's any easier to turn

Well you just ruined that motor if your hammering the pistons.

Crazy.... just fill the tops with PB blaster... should get it loose and okay for honing.
