About the timing marks, steal your gf's nail paint and mark the timing chain to cam gears. You should really search on here for the fsm And fallow that, because there is a lot more to changing a hg than just replacing gaskets...... Like is the head flat? Etc etc.

A better way to put that would be, What caused the gasket to pop?

-Did it overheat to point of no return?

if so, it is a possibility based on how extreme the temps got that there could be some warpage with the head and that would cause the head to not seat evenly to the block creating a danger zone for an instant leak or down the road if it ever heated up to far that the pressure finds a way thru the uneven area and pops again. I always take my heads to the machine shop and have them plained to prevent such a pain in the a** problem with $50 bucks at the machine shop. Just my .02

I have friends that never do and there cars run like a raped ape.

you need to take the manifold off. the only thing holding it in the vehicle is the bolts to the head and a small bracket bolted behind the alternator to the block.

your going to have to do it with a open end-box end wrench. its a mofo to get in there and even worse to try to turn the damn thing but it can be done.

Negative...You can unblot the intake and ehaust manis and push them to the side, you also dont have to take out the radiator either.

thats not even the problem , the intake mani is a pain ,, but i didnt get a chance to try to take it out but i also dont want to strip it... so im just gonna leave it for the mechanics , also takeing out the rad helps alot u have so much room , the exhaust i did unbolt tho .. i just needa wait on my torque wrech and long alen sockets.
