ka24de headgasket replacement

im about to undergo a headgasket replacement on my ka24de, ive searched for some write ups on it, but i havent been able to find any. if you guys have any experience i would appreciate it if you would chime in.thanks alot

in as much as it will require you to tear down the top side and part of the front side of the motor, might as well get a timing kit and change that out while you have the motor tore down.

make sure when you ge the head of to make sure theres no cracks on it....i was guna change my h- gasket too but my engine had so many miles on it i dicided just to swap the whole engine...im glad i did, because my head was cracked like crazy....and i almost waisted alot of time and money getting the gasket redone.....

i appreciate the input, the motor is out of the car now, so access and timeframe arent part of the problem, the car ran fine before, didnt overheat, and has relatively low miles >80k, im just doing a cometic headgasket to be safe in the long run.thanksif anyone has a write up or pictures and references, that would be greatly appreciated
