ka24de head question

would my 1992 240sx ka24de have the same head as a 93-97 altima with a ka24de? im looking at a rebuilt head but it came off an altima and im not sure what my casting number would since my engine is still complete and running in the car. anyone with the answer thank you very much in advance

you cant use the head as the distributor and cams are diffrent

im not sure yet, i haven't taken my valve cover off yet but i thought a rocker arm was taping because it was loose but now that i found out i don't have rockers im a bit worried to find out what is tapping in the front under my valve cover

its probibly just the timing chain tentioner there are 3 located on the top section remove ut valve cover and front timing cover and inspect them

any suggestions on where to get new head parts for my engine from? like the tensioners, buckets, shims, valve springs, etc.?

nissan maximas have some of the same head parts as some maximas ran a front wheel drive vertion of the ka24de..you can strip buckets and shims off of those..i know from experience on that..i have a small collection..just go to your local yard and have a looksee..maximas are popular junk yard cars.
