So i have been doing a lot of reasearch and came across a thread in the ozdat forum where they had mated a ka24e head to an Lseries block. Head bolts right up and with a few minor mods to the oil and water passages works. The major mods and fab work come with makeing the timing chain work.

Anyway my question is has anyone heard of a DE head going on a Z block? From what i can tell it should work with the same mods. Seeing a L head can be made to work on a Z block and a KA head has been fitted to the L block I dont see why the DE cant fit on a Z block. Also people have placed DE heads on a 12v KA if im not mistaken so a DE head should fit anywhere a E head fits right? If anyone sees a hole in my logic let me know because I really want to build this motor when I get home from deployment in august! Thanks for any input you have.
