So I finally finished my build after a very long time, and I started it up and everything is running great except it is leaking oil from the head gasket. So I pulled off the valve cover and cams and retorqued the head studs and put it all back together and it is still leaking. So basically I'm pretty pissed I got a cometic head gasket. Now I need to remove the head, get it decked again, and get a new head gasket. But the only head gaskets I can find are cometic.

Where can I get a cosworth one? I looked like everywhere. There are a whole bunch for the sr, but that ain't gonna work for me.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure you would need to have the head shaved again (or if you even could, depending on how much was removed the first time). It appears that many of the KA-T guys use Fel-pro as the MLS head gaskets can be a pita. They say the Fel-pro is good to some pretty high hp numbers as well.Good luck!

I hear ROL head gaskets are good. IDK the prices, though. If it were a toss up between Fel-Pro and a ROL, and one was ALOT more money than the other, I would go with the lower priced (but still high standard of quality) piece.

You can check your valve clearances to make sure you have enough material left to shave the head. You might even have plenty, but you never know until you check... http://www.racingheadservice.c...e.asp I recommend doing this test if you want to know for sure.

if your having an issue sealing a head gasket...then use a gasket sealer..like "Indian Head" brand sealer...dosent matter if its multi or solid..this stuff will seal it for good man.
