Hey guys,

I have a 1991 Hatchback 240sx , and I am stumpped on getting the car to start after an engine replacement. Any help is greatly appreciated.

From my last couple of days of testing, I have gotten strong blue/white spark, along with fuel coming out of the fuel filter. Fuel injectors are not leaking and they do inject fuel when i crank the engine.

The timing has been done/ http://www.nicoclub.com/archiv....html

Here is the weird thing... I am able to get the car to start and run for about 10 seconds IF I pull the fuel rail off of the intake manifold. The car would start and run!

What am I not doing right? What is causing the car to start when there is four large injector size vacuum leak coming from the Fuel rail being off? Can someone kindly explain, I am all ears :D?

Any suggestion would help.

TIA,

Sonny

A little update.

I put the fuel rail back. And last night, I took out the spark plugs and let it sat over night.

This morning the car started after i put the plugs back in! It ran for about a two minutes or so, and then the car died. I couldn't started again afterwards.

There was a lot of white smoke from the tail pipe when it was running, and oil was dripping out of the muffler tip.

Why can I only start it after i pulll the spark plugs? And why do I have black dirty a** oil coming out of the exhaust? It has been a long struggle with this car, and any help I get you guys will be greatly be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Sonny
