Hello

I was wondering if it is alot of work to get an aftermarket fuel rail for the ka24de to fit on a ka24e? Would it be as simple as changing the brackets or is this a horrible idea that can only lead to a catastrophy and/or be a total waste of money on my part?

Any response would be appreciated thankyou Denis

waste of money imo. Why do you want to use sidefeed, instead of top feed injectors?

Sorry about that...

I meant a jwt top feed fuel rail...not the stock rail....I should have been more specific...

Although its probably still a waste of money isn't it?

thanks for the replyDenis

if you need bigger injectors for the sohc, get rx-7 injectors of a FC 88 and up, non-turbo or turbo both will work. or ca18det injectors will work too, but if you do get the rx-7 ones, make sure you also get the connectors to it.

for quick refrence:

KA24E and KA24DE fuel rails are >>NOT<< interchangeable without lots of modification. the runners on the intake plenum don't line up the same.

I'm already aware of that 214kka-et240sx but thank you any how...I was just wondering how much work it would be....

My reasoning was that if a fuel rail from a 4.6 mustang could work on a kade with minor modification then an after market fuel rail for the ka24de by JWT might not take that much work to fit either....

Thanks Import_Ant thats basically what i wanted to know...

Anyone know of an aftermarket fuel rail for the ka24e? or are the few people running ka24ets leaving the stock one in since its already setup for top feed injectors?

Just curious basicly

I'm not planning on modifying my stock fuel rail initially. I'll upgrade the FPR and injectors forst. I have already upgraded my FP to a walboro 255lph which may get upgraded to an R34 fuel pump in the end.

As it stands I don't see the fuel rail being the bottleneck in the fuel system.

when that becomes the weakest link I'll probably make my own fuel rail out of some mild steel tubing and AN fittings. I'm fortunate enough to have a MIG welder, drill press, and a couple of tap and die sets we'll see how far I get on the stock rail though, it seems fairly competent for now.

well I just had a new intake manifold made, and decided to keep the stock rail, because I really don't see it being a problem until about 700 rwhp or so. Since I don't intend to go above about 600 rwhp...I don't think it's worth the time or expense.
