I'm trying to find which two of my four fuel injectors have gone bad. When I check the electrical resistance with my multimeter I get 5.9 or so in two and 10.9 in the other two. I searched yesterday (when the search function was working) and only found one thread where someone mentioned that the normal resistance indicated by the FSM should be around 11 Ohms. Is this correct?

I apologize in advance if this is a retarded post. I wouldn't be posting if the giant button of useless search results was working. J/k. I love Nico. If I could I would marry it.

Thanks all!

I guess because 2 of them are bad and not just one this might not work. If your car still starts, start it and pull the injector out and see if it makes a change. If it does, its a good one. If it doesnt, its a bad one. I dont think it would work cause with 2 bad inectors, i dont think the car will start.

The car starts everytime but I have noticed that its becoming a rougher start. Like theres too much gas or something.

So, I should pull out an injector while my engine is running? Wont this cause gas to leak everywhere from the injector that is no longer in place? Are you sure I shouldnt be pulling out a spark plug wire?

What else can I look for to find my faulty injector(s) if my reading of 5.9 ohms isn't enough proof? I'm guessing maybe a black spark plug for that cylinder. Is there anything else or can someone else confirm that my car wouldn't be starting with two faulty injectors?

Thanks everyone!

Dont pull the injector its self off just the plug in the back the powers it and see if u notice any change in the way the engine is running.

If its running rough just pull the plug off the back of the injectors one by one till u get to the one that doesent make a diff in the way your engine is running when its un pluged and that will be your bad one.

The ohms on a KA2de should be right near 11.

An injector reading 5.9 ohms is not good. Those injectors are probably working intermittently or slowly dying. Which would explain why your car gets rougher and rougher.

If you want, you can try what Shabber said, just disconnect the plug from the injector while the car is running (do NOT try and pull out the injector from the rail while the car is running.) The 5.9 reading is pretty good proof of a failing injector though.

Thanks a bunch everyone.

I thought my car was running pretty crappy but my car never fails to amaze me. Last night while driving home my RPMs started dropping and rising constantly when I came to a complete stop (like at a red light). It sounded as if I were revving my engine. I don't know if this problem is caused by my injectors but will replace my faulty injectors and find out if they are.

Is there any other thing I should look at that can cause my engine to rev. while on idle? It was revving between 900 and 200 RPMs and felt as if it were going to turn off.

Once again, thanks everyone.
