The Altima, it is FWD though so you cant use the transmission.

frontiers came with the de starting in 98. alti's have it. i dont think xterra's or pathfinders ever had it.

best bet would probably be a frontier since its rwd. you'll need to change a few thing like the oil pan and intake mani.

You can't use anything major from an Altima because the head setup is different, i.e. distributor, waterpump outlet from thermostat. You are better off finding one out of another 240sx it'll be much easier.

Ive heard the FWD KA is completely different (different block, head, etc).

Stanzas had a KA-E.

base model X-terra's use KA24de's, along with the hardbody pickup, probably the only ones that are similar to the 240sx's KA.

You cannot use any other DOHC KA motor other than the 240sx's motor. The others have different heads, or coolant ports to make it work correctly. You could make it work if you wanted to spend about $3500 though.

No what i said earlier is absolute. You cannot use any other piece of any other car's longblock or transmission with a 240's.
