KA24DE ENGINE PROBLEM"S NEED HELP

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

like the title says , to be specific i put some mod's on my s14 firstly the cold air intake , new sparkplugs and wires and a powdercoated hotshot header. When i installed the header it came from another s14 but the EGR hose would'nt connect so i bought a EGR block off valve and there was no more hot air being disburssed throughout my engine im not sure if that was the cause but earlier this year i replaced my water pump and noticed the slightly decrease in water in my radiator the night before the engine gave out, i came home from work and noticed some smokei knew it was my radiator overheating but i drove it the rest of the way home and when i turned off the car , of course it was somokin bigtime so i could'nt touch it for a few hours before i could replenish the radiator with fluid's but the next day i was running late to my second job and the car stalled when i came to a stop sign i started it back up and kept driving it kept dying out whenever i came near a stop i just wanted to make it to work then i noticed the car losing power i was doing 60mph @ 4rev's and i downshifted to see the boost , i tried to make it to my job when the engine stalled and it would'nt start up again , since then ive done everything i can i was told that the egr block off could have been building to a serious break and having no water or fluids in the radiator just tipped it over , please if you have any info let me know i'd really like to keep my engine and restore it , i've already bought a turbo for the KA24DET build PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when u changed the water pump did u keep the clutch fan? and u didn't see any puddles under ur car when stopped for a bit?? i've never heard of an egr block off messing up anything. all it does is send exhaust gasses back though the intake (stupidest thing invented). my 240 has a blockoff and i encourage every other 240 owner to do the same. is it leaking oil at all or smoking out the tail pipe?? and did u change ur thermostat?? needed info to help u out

might the egr do anything like the pcv valve? like sending some unwanted things in your engine back in to be pushed out the pipe?

i kept the clutch fan , no puddle's though i was loosing the water , i would'nt say rapidly but more stranger than normal and i did change the thermostate , i was told to try a number of things to find out if i got water in my head's , like taking out each sparkplug and sticking my finger down there and have someone crank the engine and see if any water shot up but i havent tried that yet , oh , i didn't remove the other piece that looks similar to a egr valve (looks like a bell copper color ) i didnt remove that piece and did'nt know where or how to go about disconnecting it.

is the pcv valve located right next to the egr valve , im not sure but it is connected still but the tubes that would be connected to the egr are not connected at all , if im making no sense please let me know and any other suggestions would be very helpful

please people keep with the comments and suggestions ive checked the fuel filter and it is disburssing fuel above and below , throughout the lines , and i also tried spraying starter spray aka ether directly onto and even into the air intake while someone cranked it over , please pep's keep withthe comments , thanks alot
