ka24de ecu questions

I have a 240sx with a ka24de I just swaped in and im not getting spark from my coil at all. I was wondering if it could be because the 240 is manual and the motor ecu and harness are all automatic I havent heard that u need to change the ecu when you convert it. Any way do I need a manual ecu for a manual car or will it work with an automatic ecu and how do I test a ka24de ecu??????
