Hello! i was wondering what exactly must be learned in order to be able to create your own ECU settings? and can any ECU be modified to a higher performance level or do u need to assemble and create a new ECU from scratch?

basic programming skills are needed. In order to do it well, you will definetely need to be able to tune as well as program well.

To do it you need a computer, your stock ecu, few odd's n ends to build your own chip writer, and some chips. A chip eraser is supposed to be nice.

coo thanks! where can i get more info on this? like what a chip writer is and do i need a special program on my computer?
