Planning on getting some headers soon. Now I hear that 4-2-1 is the best option for low/mid power which is exactly what I want, whereas 4-1 is for high range. Any personal experience with ebay headers? I was thinking of getting these.

Definitely not paying 300 bucks for dc headers or hotshots lol.

I got the tuningpros headers and they bolted up really easily and the fact that it has 3 bungs is nice. Only issue I have is trying to find a reducer since two of the bungs are larger then our o2 sensor. My butt dyno says I has a noticeable power gain.

I know you didn't want 4-1, but I'll throw this in here for anyone that searches this topic.

I got some 4-1 pacesetters. Bolted up without any issues. The paint on them is crap though, it all burnt off in a day. Still satisfied with the 200 bucks spent.

You will notice a Lil bit of increase but to take full advantage I would get a test pipe ( if u don't have emissions in ur area) and a exhaust and no bigger than 2 or 2.5 ins piping unless ur going turbo

Yeah I kept trying to decide if I should get a test pipe from ebay, the shop I go to doesnt even check my emissions just lights, horn brakes etc. I live in NY. Well I actually bought a aftermarket muffler which is 4" welded to my stock exhaust I don't think that effecting me in a bad way just adding a nicer sound. So test pipe will def be better than a stock cat? Will it be super loud and smell like s***?

it wont be too loud as long as you have that resonator still in but you wont utilize its full potential until you get a larger "cat-back" ideally 2"-2.5" id. and it will smell wonderful, similar to a lawnmower

All the catbacks I see online are 4" where are the 2 and 2.5inch that everyone is talking about? I want to get my test pipe now but don't know if the cops are gonna notice it, you said the smell of a lawnmower is gonna be prowling around. Felt like a wasted 150 bucks to get a damn muffler welded at midas near me, that place is a pos.

Will prob get the catback later on after headers, do they really help with gains? I hear mixed responses.

they do a little, but most gains arent experienced unless tuned for it. its not like its 15 hp! but maybe around 5-8 maybe 10 at most. idc what the ebay ads say.
