So I did the dual exhaust cam mod to my ka. I didn't bother doing tdc but I made marks on the distributor and marks on both cam gears and the timing chain. I moved the cam gear 4 teeth ccw and put everything back together with the old exhaust cam in same spot and distributor is same spot. Now when I run the car it kinda feels like there is no sudden gain of power anywhere, it's just linear. :wtf2: Can I move the distributor in one direction to advance the timing a little bit? or do i need to retard it that way?

Never mind, got the problem fixed. It wouldn't start anymore on 4 teeth no matter where I had the distributor so I took everything apart again and moved the cam gear 1 tooth clockwise so it was set at 3 teeth and it started and runs good now. Still don't see why I was having problems starting it at 4 teeth though when one tooth made all the difference.
