100% positive you don't spin it when you install it? All of your engine grounds hooked up? Can you maybe make a video clip for me?

are you re-timing the ignition every time you put it back in? Is the oil pump all the way in?

regardless of the timing it should still spark maybe not at the right time but it should still spark. Seems to me for some reason your distributor isn't turning for some reason when you are starting it.

Try starting it w/ distributor out and look at the oil pump spindle to make sure its spinning. If it is there may be some electrical problem where it doesn't get power when it is starting?

^^ that is right it should still spark even if its in the wrong spot. also it has absolutely nothing to do with the oil pump. on the ka24de the oil pump is in the timing cover unlike the shaft driven by the oil pump on the ka24e. so that is ruled out.

this is a really really strange problem. did you mess with any wiring or anything like that? check the gear on the idler sprocket on your timing set, maybe its messed up or missing somehow. and also try it again while grounding the distributor, maybe when it has ground it cuts out... somehow lol.

the wiring i got from a complete car that was running and driving fine. I replaced the whole body harness. battery harness dash harness engine harness and rear all from the same car. The motor was an s13 motor i replaced the intake, dizzy, and maf. i have done this many times before but for some reason the car has out smarted me this time. I'm going to try and ground the dizzy to another location and maybe switch out my ignition relays see if that goes anywhere...

it's not in the wiring, it sparks when you manually turn it... seems like the most likely issue is that something inside the motor isn't turning it... did you rebuild that motor, was the screw sprocket thing put on there correctly... im assuming it would only slide all the way in if it was.

Man check it if you installed it properly.

Yeah i rebuilt that motor has new timing chain sprocket and so on. I'll take the timing cover off and see if it is. The dizzy goes all the way in and i feel the gears if its not aligned. This ordeal is so wack.

Yeah, pretty wack, but probably a simple issue once we figure it out - usually is.
