i'm finishing up a built ka (de obd1) install into my 92 240 vert;i just wanted to clrify something about the installation of the distributor back into the motor;

On the distibutor, when you line up the circle dot with the other mark line on the distibutor, and you are pushing/inserting the distibutor into the motor, it hits the teeth inside and you are twisting as you slide it into place. this movement obviously shift your marks on the distibutor.my question is should i be compensating for this maybe 1/8 inch movement on the distibutor when it is twisted into place.also,how do i know exactly where to twist it to, because on the hole where the bolt goes through it is like an oval, not just a regular hole, so you have the ability to set the distibutor really anywhere bolted down.

can someone help me understand this before installation ruins my new motor.
