Ka24de Dies When Braking To Complete Stop

i did a tune up over the weekend and for some reason i have a problem with my car dying when i stop from motion. its not my alternator cause my power doesnt die and the lights dont go out when my car dies but it just cuts the engine when i hit the brakes to stop at a red light. it chokes like hell then dies. what the hell? anyone know whats going on? please :help

also, while i brake while in motion my spedometer goes straight down to 0 but jumps up over 1000rpm when i let go of the brakes.

sounds like a vacum problem acociated with a brake booster.

Or you have somthing hooked up incorrect.

I would look for a connection problem under the hood, possiblie at the airflowmeter or coolant temp sensor. The choking out sounds like it is running rich. Also check the engine harness by moving it around while the engine is running,any changes in performance indicates a problem.

i have no idea what those are or where they are. but i think i the problem fixed itself. i rehooked all my plugs and wires, dis cap and all and now its fine. weird. hope it doesnt come back.

whenever i hit the brakes on my 240 the interior lights dim and so does my CD player - must be a defect with some 240's

some weird **** man. now it seems ok but when i start the car the rpm goes up and sinks all the way down to like 0rpm and bounces back up. it almost dies but it doesnt. wtf.

Hey 1LoSX, my car does the same thing . A friend of mine informed me that it might be a wiring problem. I still haven' t located the cause.

Also, when I apply my brake my corners come own even if I driving during the day. Now that is something like poltergeist. I need info on how to fix these problems ......seems like I'm having the same problems you guys are.

nismo it probably isn't a wiring problem. sounds like your guy's alternator is messed up mine does the same when i apply the brakes. its the tail lights coming on or thats what some tech guy told me here. i have a alternator covered in oil so yeah.-edgar

Stock-S13, when you turn on your lights at night does your brakelight stay on? Mine does but when I apply the brake it gets brighter is this suppose to happen as well?

same thing happening to me, but i just replaced my alternator. now i cant even get the car started, and if i do get it started it idles like crap. i am about to give up on this. ive only had it for 2 months, and it has 112k miles on it. thats not to bad, i see people on here with 200k+ miles. im so sick of calling the tow peoples.
