i did search, and all i got was ca and rb crap. i was at work today and decided (because we werent busy) to hook up the computer to my s13. I got a code 34, Detonation Sensor. It said OK TO RUN however. I think this may be the cause to my bog at around 3,500 rpms.. nothing rediculous however, just a slowdown. i figured it was bad spark, clogged fuel filter.. or whatever. but now im thinking it may be the detonation not retarding the timing correctly. Thanks guys.

a det sensor code will cause you to lose some ign timing and therefore power, fuel economy, etc. if you replace the sensor i would reccomend replacing the little harness that goes to it as well. it is not cheap but it is a good thing to have working. iirc, the ka24de has it on the pass side under the intake manifold. it should be located somewhere around the oil filter, pcv valve, area.

I would check the harness first, from what I am reading (and personal experience), they have a habit of failing on their own.

Disconnect the Knock Sensor subharness, it is about 14 inches long and is a coaxial wire. It plugs into the knock sensor, and below the injector subharness. Pull it out, and just check it for continuity and check it visually. If you see anything, replace it. You can only get it from the dealer.
