Ok, well today I found out my computer is no good (damn corrosion), and that is why my car has only been firing on 2 cylinders. So, I need to find one somewhere. Where would be the best place to look? What is an average price of a computer? My car is fully loaded, KA24DE. the number on the computer is 28, but I didn't right down or try to remember the smaller numbers. A place near here has a computer, but they want $150 cdn for it. There is an auction where I could get an identical parts car to my mine, and it would be right, but my dad refuses to have a second Nissan on his property (Ford Guy). So unless I can keep it in my Mom's garage, I can't buy it. Anyways, I can get the smaller number by tommorrow, if anyone has one on here that would work, that'd be great, and also, I would rather get one out of an Automatic (Auto ECU Swap), but a standard one would also work.

I figured I could get a better answer to my other questions (price, what the donor needs to have, etc.) but if this is not allowed here, I could post it in the parts section, but then wouldn't it be a double post? And isn't that not allowed either? Anyways, if it is disallowed here, could amod move it for me, I still want it posted, because I'd like to get a computer soon, but it being moved does not bother me.

ok, so here are the smaller numbers from my Computer

A11-B44-G70 and the smaller number is 2304

So what kind of things does the donor car have to have in order for it to be able to swap and work? I am going to an auction soon and there is a damaged 92 SE that I want for parts, and I would like to know how to tell if the computer from that would be able to swap into my car. So what should I check to know this?

The only reason I am still here is because I would like these questions answered:

What is the average price of a used or new Computer?

What kind of things have to match/do both cars need to be able to do the swap?

Thanks to anyone that helps me

Just match the ecu and engine. for the most part. If you've got an s13 that came with a DOHC engine, you kept the s13 DOHC wiring, go for the s13 dohc ecu.

used ecu, dunno depends on the guys sellin. check over there to see what they're goin for. I'd probably figure about a bill or two. I sold my old SOHC auto ecu for 30 bucks though. So it really depends on the seller.
