ka24de computer need help

alright, my car got flooded last week by rain. after testing and replacing lots of stuff i decided the computer got fried. well i got a used computer today but im not sure about replacing it. what do i need to do to install it??? just plug it in or do i need to reset it? i have the Chilton book for my car but they dont have a replacement procedure and what is worst is they dont have codes for a 92' 240sx, only for 88-90, are they the same? is there an online list of codes? please help... im searching as you read this but im not coming up with anything
