Okay, so here is the issue. I have a 92' Hatchback and I've recently put in a new EXEDY OEM clutch, new slave cylinder, and new clutch master cylinder. Everytime I turn the car on it makes this loud noise like a scrape. Supposedly it has sumthin to do with my flywheel and my slave cylinder. It's agonizing. (Keep note that it only makes noises when I press down on the clutch pedal.) Also, my clutch fluid had to be refilled every drive especially long ones becuz it would constantly become low. SO, i went back to the mechanic that fixed my car and he said that it's an internal leak and that he bypassed this golden lookin squared metal cube where the clutch lines flow thru. So he tighten and bled my clutch again. After, it doesn't run low anymore. But he said that my clutch might've become sticky after the air got inside cuz of the leak. It still makes noises, not so much, but if I go from 3rd to 2nd to slow up, it makes that scraping noise again when I ride the clutch to shift. Can SOMEBODY help me? I've tried everything, and time and time again, it always happen. Thanx!

First impulse is the throwout bearing because they tend to make noise, but you say it didn't make noise unless pedal in.... So something seems to be misaligned/not correctly in place. It needs to be dropped and checked for any serious hope of knowing what's happened/happening. Always worth getting a second mechanic's opinion too.

You haven't tried everything...you could try reading forum rules and posting in the correct forum. I vote pilot bearing.

When I said "I tried everything" I meant that I tried to put as much time and effort into taking care of my car and replacing the necessary parts. As for the forum, I'm not so much of a forum guy so I just posted this under my engine type. I still appreciate your input and anybody else who wishes to help me and my Chuki out. Next vote?

I would like to drop the transmission and look at the clutch cuz I'm sure it's somewhere right there, BUT no money. No money means no work can be done. As of right now, I'm just going to get as much info as I can. APPRECIATE YOUR FEEDBACK COMATOSECULTURE!

Was the starter shimmed? ... Maybe the flywheel needed to be ground a bit or resurfaced for the new clutch? Just some ideas. It's hard diagnosing sounds with no audible.

No problem, good luck with it. It just came to mind simply because my team back in 2001/02 had a lot of clutch/flywheel fitment issues with all the custom stuff we were tackling. Spent a lot of time with Dave at Clutch House in Fort Lauderdale. Good people.

It is pretty easy to pull. If you have a day, just pull it and look for anything out of the norm. In my opinion it sounds like the throw out bearing.http://www.courtesyparts.com/3....htmlMy friend jarretts kouki makes a horrific scraping noise when stress is put on the TOB ever since he put a after market ZOOM clutch in.

Nah not at all. Didn't hurt my feelings, it's just that I get easily angered. I'm just a guy that doesn't like to play around especially when it comes to my car. BUT, it's all good.

Yeah, I put an aftermarket EXEDY clutch in. Didn't expect these outcomes, but i'm pretty sure that it wasn't the clutch. It was the GUY that PUT the clutch in. The sound is tremendously reduced when I put hardly any stress on the car. I just gotta ride it more calmly. I'mma take a look at it soon. Well, I got all the answers I was looking for. Thanx to all NICO members that put their 0.02 in this one!
