I'm so close guys! After working for hours and hours, to remove this engine(for DOHC swap), I finally have a problem i cannot figure out.

The driveshaft bolts that go into the differential, have been removed, so everything behind the driveshaft center bearing, is hanging down.

However. I CANNOT pull the DS from the back of the transmission. I have pulled, and pulled, and it won't budge an INCH.

I already have the center bearing coupler removed, so all that's stopping me, is the inability to pull it from the trans.

Would I be able to pull the DS out with the engine? Any tips? Tried it in neutral/1st/ everything.

Any help is appreciated.

I really appreciate that... especially cause I deal with tons of rusty bolts...

However, that doesn't answer the question.

My point is that I have NO bolts left to remove. The only issue I'm having, is that the driveshaft will not slide out from the back of the transmission.

Here is an example/= Back of driveshaft hanging down from differential|=main ds bearing coupler(=back of trans.

/=|====(

The back part is removed from the diff, and I removed the bottom part of the bearing coupler. I CANNOT slide out the spline, I guess you could call it, from the back of the trans.

I saw videos/pictures of it being done. Usually it involves wiggling it back/forth/side to side, and it slides out. Mine, will just rotate.

Put the purse down and pull on that thing :P Nothing holds it inside the transmission. It should just slide right out. Gear positioning shouldn't effect it at all either.
