KA24DE Bolt to Pickup transmission?

I did some searching around and couldn't find a positive answer to my question. Will a KA24DE bolt up to my '93 D21 Hardbody 2-wheel KA24E transmission? If not, what rout should i take to put a KA24DE into my truck, which transmission would work?

Have you talked to your Nissan Dealer to do a serial number search?

I have been told by my local Nissan Parts Guru that there are specific digits in the serial numbers on the trannsmission that will tell you if your 93 Hardbody transmission will bolt up to a newer KA24E engine.

But you will need to know the other transmission's serial number in order to get a cross reference you can rely on.

That sheet metal spacer that goes just between the transmission and engine : wonder if the part number is the same for both engines for that piece?
