I searched but didn't find an answer. Is the ka24e black the same as the ka24de block? I want to build an engine, and I have a good deal on a ka24e block and wanted to know if my de block is the same as the e block?

The blocks are different. To start with, the distributor is in the block not on the head like a DE. Also, none of the accessory brakets will fit. There are more differences, but if you are planning on putting a DE head on an E block, the answer is no.

Blocks are different BUT heads are interchangable by swapping a couple of things.
