KA24DE Bad knock sendor running poorly?

I now have only the code 34 Knock Sensor, pain in the *** to replace. Im wondering if this could possibly be causing my car to run like complete ****, bogs out and dies if gas pedal pressed rapidly, bogs and back fires anwhere over 3500rpm.. just all around runs like doodie and is not drivable. Any help would be great

yes, a knock sensor retards timing when detonation is encountered. retarded timing would make the car drive like turd

I don't think the KS would cause that. I had mine bad for about 2 years, until recently replacing it, and it still had great gas mileage with no bog.
