So i've been looking around for a good S13 body and i just picked one up for a pretty good price. Aside for it bieng an Automatic i just have to live with it at the moment as i'm still saving up for other upgrades. So the car seems to be running pretty good but there are 2 problems that i need solved before i can move on with the car.

PROBLEM #1
So car's lever's in "Parked" position. Key is in the ignition. Brake applied. I turn the key and nothing happens the ignition just "clicks"
Battery's good
Starter's good
Soleniod's good

The car will start up BUT there is a trick to it and like i said i have never come across this problem before so i've only got ideas but i don't really know what really the problem is.

So the trick is you must wiggle the transmission in "P" or "N" position while at the same time turning the ignition key on. I'm thinking the lever is not aligned right but thats my guess. So here i am i finally get the car started after playing around with the transmission lever. Car revs up good everything's good and then.............

PROBLEM #2 (Don't know if it's "transmission" problem related or not.)

RPM Slowly drops from
1k
800
600
....
....
0
So here i am FLORRING "WOT" trying to keep the engine alive. Car wants to die down but at the same time it trys to stay alive. Sometimes even if i give it "WOT" car will just die but every now and then i get lucky with it, i just gotta keep pressing the gas pedal car will rev up slowly and once it gets over 2K RPM car's just fine. After the engine has been revived it idles fine, RPM goes up quick in "N" postion. However when i am on a standstill and i give it "WOT" car does no have power whatsoever and even though it's an AUTO it still shouldnt be that bad for a 2.4L engine. Once the car's moving on the road car runs like it should except during "WOT" it just doesn't have the power it should.

I hope i have made it as clear as i could and im just throwing this out there because i know it's an easy fix and someone's had to have come across with this problem before and im sure they wouldn't mind sharing it with me as i would do the same. If there is anyone out there at all that could help me out i THANK YOU in advance. THANKS GUYS!!

For the starting problem, seems like a park position switch issue. That switch doesn't let the car start unless its in park. As for the RPM drops, since you said it works fine in neutral, it seems like a transmission problem. I think your car is trying to tell you to do the 5 speed swap!
