Hey guys, I've had a small lag around 2k rpm for awhile now and can't find the exact cause yet....Once you pass 2k rpm, the car pulls noticeable harder. There's no miss, the idle is steady and no trouble codes.

I'm not sure if it's related or not, but I also have a large timing drop any time I give the engine partial acceleration. For example, Datascan shows the timing dropping from around 20-25degrees when cruising in OD at around 40mph to around 7degrees when I barely give the car a little gas and hold the accelerator steady (w/o causing the transmission to downshift).

Same at WOT, the car doesn't miss/jerk, but timing maxes at around 17degrees during WOT but if I ease off the gas, timing jumps up to 30-40degrees....

EGR valve is new, no carbon in the lines, MAF voltage is linear and timing is stock, 20degrees, new KS....any ideas on what else to look for? I just can't figure why timing gets retarded so much when barely pressing on the accelerator.

Thanks!

Jeremy

Just pulled a KS code w/Datascan....KS is a new OEM so I'm going to ohm the harness...no missing or bad idle so only other cause could perhaps be a slight intake mani leak...

Any other thoughts...?
