Iam currently rebuilding my ka24e in my 97 hardbody pickup. The cylinders have been bored .50mm. I would really like to use oem piston rings in this build as most all the parts I've bought are. From the research I've done online alot of people recommend using the 99 altima rings because they are chrome. I called my local Nissan dealer and they are no longer available. So I ordered oem rings for my 97 ka24e. The parts guy is pretty sure they have been discontinued aswell. They haven't showed in 3 weeks. So my question is would any ring from the de fit the e motor? As some were putting altima rings on the e pistons which is a de I would only imagine that is correct? And if someone could provide a link or website if you've seen them. Or a recommendation for aftermarket rings if I can't get any from the dealer. Thanks for any help.

I don't know about with the over boring, but the bottom end of the KA24 is the same for E and DE. I thought 0.020" was a standard overbore... sorry, I just converted units... as you were. You could get new pistons with the rings already on them.

Welcome to NICO Club! Good luck with your rebuild!
